Paintless Dent Repair (PDR) is the repair of small to medium sized dents without the need for paint. The process is normally carried out at the roadside or at commercial or domestic properties without the need to visit a vehicle body shop.

The repairs are carried out by either pushing the dent out with rods, hand tools or by pulling the dent out with small glued on tabs. The process was devised to repair dents when the paint is undamaged so a panel can be returned to perfect condition without the expense and time of traditional body repairs. Dents can also be repaired where the paint is damaged with a view to either touching in the mark or getting it spray painted.

The types of dents we can repair is extensive! Most small dents or light creases can be repaired so the panel looks perfect again. Medium dents (2-4 inches) and larger creases, in many cases, can be repaired to look almost perfect.

Claims for dent work are very rarely needed, generally only hail damage goes through insurance due to the number of dents all over the car. With standard dent work the costs are usually lower than an excess so not needed.

Plastics don’t manipulate in the same way metal does so generally dents don’t repair with PDR (paintless dent repair ) methods. Some can be reduced but in many cases a body shop will be required to fully repair them.
